Aga Kareba From Makassar South Sulawesi

Enjoying time at Losari Beach

Oh I'm so glad that finally I had a chance to come to Sulawesi. Since I moved to traveling program I had waiting my chance to visit the three big islands in Indonesia which are Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua. When I heard my producer will send me to Makassar South Sulawesi I was really excited!

Finally on November 4, 2011, I found myself arrived in Sultan Hassanudin Airport in Makassar. After four hours delayed from Jakarta we're all very much happy to see the land of Makassar. My first impression of the Airport is really nice, I think it's even better than Soekarno Hatta airport or even Ngurah Rai in Bali. The weather is very hot,  Mucho calor..

We're planning to stay in there for eight days but the weather is so unpredictable, it was rainy almost every day and made us so difficult to do video shooting, and so we had to postpone for one more day.

We went to Bantimurung National Park which located in Maros area, is about one hour from Makassar. It is a huge park with more than 100 hectare area; there are Bantimurung waterfall, the nature habitation of thousands of butterfly and lots of cave.

It was a really beautiful place to visit, the view is really great. The karst mountain is covered by the green trees. When we're entered the main gate there is a giant butterfly statue, which is Papilo Blumei a uniqe Bantimurung species.

Enjoying water sport at Akarena Beach

On the next day we're also playing in Banana boat and flying fish in Akarena Beach near the Losari beach. The wind is blowing so hard and also the wave on the beach.

The most exciting part was I can try all types of Makassar food like Pisang Epe and Es Pisang Ijo, a famous dessert that contain Banana as their main ingredients, it was really sweet and also used a lot of food coloring products but I like it, it's delicious!

We're also sightseeing in Losari Beach and definitely took a lot of pictures. I mean this is my first time here and I don't know when I'll be back so better late than sorry right? I can't count how many pictures we took 😅

Also I’ve finally visited the famous Trans Studio, it's an indoor theme park belongs to Trans TV company. I think Trans Studio is very much alike with Universal Studios Singapore, the concept of the theme park and not to mention the merchandise store is very similar. The differences are USS is an outdoor theme park and way bigger than Trans Studio. I had some much fun! 😘

Spending time by relaxing after working for days is a precious moment, because we can’t have it on every trip we have. Sometimes the schedule was so packed that we didn’t have spare time to enjoy the place that we’ve visited. So this trip is quite enjoyable although we had some difficulties on the beginning because of the weather.

Anyways I had fun! It's been a tiring trip but it was fun, can't wait to come back there. So next destination hopefully Kalimantan and Papua!
