"Naturalisasi" Not A Bad Choice After All

Meet our candidates for the football national team, Kim Jeffrey Kurniawan,
Irfan Bachdim and Alessandro Trabucco. These three young players, are mix
or so called in here "Indo".

Right now Indonesian national team performances are really disappointing,
at least that's what people say these days. For the past five years we can't
win any championship from ASEAN country, Asia, or highly dream to be the
the world champion.

There's a lot problems inside the Indonesian football world, from
representative agency of the National Team or PSSI trough the domestic
competition. Everyday we saw negative things in almost football match,
commotion among the supporters, commotion between the players, also
allegations that the referee acted unfairly.

Every person each appoint one another, whoever is wrong. Without
thinking about the right solutions for the Indonesian football world. Now,
the government has initiative to neutralized players of mix blood to be a
citizen of Indonesia in the hope of improving the performance of Indonesian
national team which is in the lowest point.

Okay, a lot of people don't agree with this decision cause they thought
it's quite pathetic and seems the government are hopeless and desperately.
Because they couldn't find any good players that truly Indonesian who are
talented from all across the nation. Are we that bad? But some people thinks
it's the right thing to do, maybe we do need players that has ability and
great individual skill, and also has a taste the experience playing in
International competition, like Lega Calcio, Bundes Liga or even the
premier league.

At first i thought that's not a good decision, i agree that we looks like
so desperately. Seriously, is there any great player with great skill from
more than a thousand citizen across Indonesia???

But now, i think why not? As long they're willing to join the national
team, has the ability to play like a true Indonesian, i think we should
give them a try. There's no way we could possibly know is it works or not,
if we don't try. So, what do you guys think?

Okay enough with these serious conversation, now let's get started with
introducing each of these young players, not only their talented, but
they sure looks cute, with their mix blood.

First, let's take a look at Irfan Bachdim, this 22 years old player
was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. With heights 5 foot 7 1⁄2 in, quite
tall for Indonesian. He started his career in Ajax, but moved to
Hoofdklasse side SV Argon after 3 years. He became the top scorer in
the league, despite his position as a midfielder. FC Utrecht scouted
him and brought him to FC Utrecht. Now he is the first choice at FC
Utrecht Junior team and sometimes playing for the reserve team.

His mother is a dutch and his father is a real Indonesian man, and his
name is definitely Indonesian. And i just realized that he looks real
cute, after watched a talk show in some local tv about his journey to
become part of the national team.

Still couldn't speak bahasa fluently, but his english are good. Not to
mention the tattoos all over her left arms, cool! exactly looks like
Michael Scofield in Prison break or David Beckham i supposed, and not
to forget, he's 22, not to old, and not to young like others.

So, yeap definitely can't wait too see him with the red-white uniform,
with The Eagle on the chest. Mmmhh..I'll make sure I'd be on the front
seat every game he had.

Kim Jeffrey Kurniawan, our other potential candidates to be part of
Indonesia national team. This 20 years old footballer was born in
Mühlacker, March 23, 1990.

He started his career in Karlsruher SC, and he continued in FC
Heidelsheim a club in Verbandsliga Nordbaden, lower than Bundesliga,
Germany. He played as a left/ right winger or as a central midfielder.

and did you know that his grandfather is also a footballer and a
member of Persija team back in the 70's? His also a big fan of
Xavi Hernandez, Cesc Fabregas and Lionel Messi because he think
those player had a great technical skill, vision and capable to
control the game and a great defensive ability.

What makes him cooler, that he insist to persuade his educational
life with entering a business school in Germany and try to finished
it for the next three years. Then he'll concentrate with his
professional career in football. Talented yet educated, how cool
is that?

Just like a normal teenager he loves R n B music, and his favourite
Indonesian food is fried noodle.

Now, Kim hoped would strengthen the Indonesian national team and in
the process to get a contracted to play for Persema Malang so he
could feel the atmosphere of national football.

Okay, last but not least, Alessandro Trabucco.
I don't know him at first but when i saw his pictures at the airport
with Irfan Bachdim, woww..he's cute. But when i tried to look more
further, surprised...he's a 16 years old!!!. The youngest from all
three of them, woww!

Alessandro or we could call it Ale was born here in Indonesia, on July
25th, 1994. He was raised in Bali, and his mother is a Balinesse and
his father is a real Italian man from Rimini.

At age 4 he moved to Rimini, Italy when he introduced with football.
He loved to play football since he was 5, and yet very energetic.
He played for Rimini Calcio and now he plays for Cesena for 2010/2011
season.

This young man indicated that he want to play for Indonesia National
Team, but still will not release his Italian Citizen ship status.

That's sound difficult because as far as i know this beloved country
did not adopt the system of dual citizenship. But i guess he could
rethink his decision cause he's still 16, and still have time to
considered his best option either being Indonesian or Italian citizen
until his age reach 18.

So let's see is he in or he's out!
But know, just enjoy his cute mixing Italian and Indonesian face..
