January in Bali

Hello, January, and Happy New Year to all of you!

I can’t believe how time is running so fast. It’s already 2019 another year has just begun and we are all hoping for a better life ahead. I am so thrilled to open this year by going to Bali! Yes Bali again, my forever favorite place to be whenever I feel so bored.

Too bad I only can spend time on the weekend, because I am still a newbie at the office. It’s sad, but hey we should be grateful for whatever we have now right?

My Weekend Getaway

I arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport at 11 pm, then I went straight to my aunt’s house to have a rest. Then on Saturday morning, I am ready to hit the street, get some sun-kissed on my skin, and vitamin sea. After enjoying breakfast and chillin’ in the pool, I went to lunch at Metis Restaurant with my cousins.

After feeling so full, we went to W Hotel to relax and enjoy the sun by the pool. W Hotel has immense open space with sofas and a view of the beach, although it was hot we still can feel the air breathing. I ordered a glass of banana smoothies and a pink coconut. It was perfect for cooling down.

Then I went down to the beach to get a clear view of the ocean. It was hot but it is refreshing and clearing my mind at the same time. The coast is the perfect place to kick off my sandals and go for a wander. I can feel the warm sand under my feet and the air breathing through my hair.

To end the day, I went to Alila Hotel to enjoy the sunset. A half-hour before sunset I decided to take a swim at the pool. It was refreshing after sweating so bad all day, getting into the water energized your body. Later that night I went for dinner at Ultimo an Italian restaurant to have quality time with my cousins.

The next morning we decided to have brunch at Kynd, a plant-based café in Seminyak. It is on trend right now and that’s why we went there. The restaurant is small, but the design was so cute and dominated by pink and green colors. Kynd community served plant-based food that is perfect for vegetarians.

After that, we decided to catch up with our families at Biku Restaurant only 500 meters from Kynd. This restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in Kuta and serves all kinds of Indonesian cuisine. The architecture is traditional with wooden furniture and waiters that wear Kebaya; an Indonesian traditional outfit.

Then we continued to Kudeta; a beach club located in the same area. We went by walking and arrived at approximately 5 pm, and there were plenty of seats with a good spot to capture my last sunset in Bali. Too bad that day sunset was not as beautiful as the day before. The sky is a little bit gloomy nevertheless I enjoyed every minute while listening to live music.

After that, I hurried back to the house and prepared my back before heading to the airport. So sad I have to leave soon. It is the shortest trip I have to Bali. I can wait to go back soon. ❤
